Terms & Conditions of Booking
We would remind guests that the accommodation is strictly non-smoking and that there are no designated smoking areas in the cottage or the grounds.
The use of the accommodation and amenities where offered such as the garden, is entirely at the Guest’s risk and the Owners exclude liability for loss or injury to the Guests or their visitors to the fullest extent permitted by law. All children and adults under eighteen years of age must be supervised at all times by an adult over eighteen years of age while on the property. The playing of ball games in the garden is prohibited.
The owners shall not be liable to the Guest for any loss, damage, breach, delay, stoppage of electricity, water or like services or injury that is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes, fire or other matters beyond the reasonable control of the Owners.
Should the accommodation be unavailable during the letting period due to circumstances beyond the Owner’s control, then a proportionate part of any monies paid in advance will be refunded. Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability to the guest exceed the amount paid by the Guest for the booking period.
Sorry but pets are not accepted.
Children are accepted over the age of 12 years. Babies are accepted up to the age of 18months.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit:
- The Owner’s liability for death or injury caused by their own negligence
- The Guest’s statutory rights in cases where the Guest is dealing as a consumer.
Our Smoking Policy
We would remind guests that all the accommodation is strictly non-smoking and that there are no designated smoking areas in , the cottage or the grounds. If a guest is found smoking inside Y Bwthyn Bach they will be asked to leave immediately. Monies paid to cover the whole of the remainder of the value of the booking will be non-refundable.
Loss or Damage
You will be handed a key to the front door of Y Bwthyn Bach on arrival or alternatively you will find it in the key box alongside the front door of the cottage. You will be given the code for the box when booking. If by mistake you fail to hand the key in on departure, please let us know as soon as possible. We will allow 7 days for return by post. If we haven’t received the key during this period, we will e-mail you and a charge of £10 will be made to cover the cost of replacement.
The Guest’s vehicles, baggage and personal belongings are the Guest’s responsibility at all times and liability for loss or damage caused to any of the foregoing shall be excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Self Catering Booking Terms & Conditions for Y Bwthyn Bach
Under no circumstances can the prescribed number of persons stated on the booking confirmation be exceeded.
The guests and occupants acquire no legal or beneficial rights whatsoever in or over the Property (or any part of it) excepting as a holiday let for the period booked. The guest shall not sub-let the property or assign or license its rights under this contract.
The Guest agrees that he or she shall be fully responsible for the acts and omissions of any other occupants and all objects that he or she bring to the Property during the hire period.
A 25% deposit of the cost of the booking is payable by either cheque or BACS within a week of the booking being accepted. The balance of the charges will be payable not more than 28 days prior to arrival. Debit or credit cards are not accepted. Cheques should be made payable to Bryn-y-Ddafad. If you wish to pay by BACS we will supply our bank details.
In the event of cancellation less than 28 days prior to the arrival date we shall make every effort to re-let Y Bwthyn Bach. However if we are unable to do so the total value of the booking will be non-refundable.
In the event of cancellation more than 28 days prior to the arrival date the deposit paid of 25% of the value of the booking will be non-refundable.
We strongly recommend that guests take out adequate Travel Insurance to cover cancellation charges. Please remember your reservation is a binding contract under British Law.
Arrival and Departure Times
Guests should normally arrive between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please let us know if you are planning to arrive earlier, an early check in may be possible provided we are forewarned. If you are planning to arrive after 8 p.m. you will find the key to the front door in the keybox.
For the convenience of incoming guests, you are requested to vacate Y Bwthyn Bach by 11 a.m. on the day of departure.
Loss or Damage
Guests undertake to keep Y Bwthyn Bach (the holiday cottage) and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the letting period.
The Guest agrees to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the letting period. Particular attention must be given to the kitchen, its equipment and utensils. The Owners reserve the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the Guest leaves the Property in an unacceptable cond ition. The Owners will normally inspect the Property immediately prior to the Guest’s departure.
Accidents happen, please let us know of any damage, breakages or major spillage in order that we can attempt to repair or clean as soon as possible. A charge will be made for any major or irreparable damage (fair wear and tear excepted).
The Guest shall report to the Owners without delay any defects in the Property or breakdown in the equipment or appliances in the Property.
Item(s) taken from Y Bwthyn Bach (including books) without consent will be charged for. Al tourist information provided in the display unit is free.
