Terms & Conditions of Booking

General

We would remind guests that all the accommodation is strictly non-smoking and that there are no designated smoking areas in the house, the cottage or the grounds.

If you are staying with us for the first time we require your debit or credit card details to secure your reservation. We assure you that these details are held securely in a safe and destroyed when no longer required. They are not held on our computer. Please note we do not accept American Express or Diners cards.

The use of the accommodation and amenities where offered such as the garden, is entirely at the Guest’s risk and the Owners exclude liability for loss or injury to the Guests or their visitors to the fullest extent permitted by law. All children and adults under eighteen years of age must be supervised at all times by an adult over eighteen years of age while on the property. The playing of ball games in the garden is prohibited.

The owners shall not be liable to the Guest for any loss, damage, breach, delay, stoppage of electricity, water or like services or injury that is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes, fire or other matters beyond the reasonable control of the Owners.

Should the accommodation be unavailable during the letting period due to circumstances beyond the Owner’s control, then a proportionate part of any monies paid in advance will be refunded. Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability to the guest exceed the amount paid by the Guest for the booking period.

Sorry but pets are not accepted.

Children are accepted over the age of 12 years. Babies are accepted in Y Bwthyn Bach (the cottage) up to the age of 18months.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit:

  • The Owner’s liability for death or injury caused by their own negligence
  • The Guest’s statutory rights in cases where the Guest is dealing as a consumer.

Our Smoking Policy

We would remind guests that all the accommodation is strictly non-smoking and that there are no designated smoking areas in the house, the cottage or the grounds. If a guest is found smoking inside the house or cottage (Y Bwthyn Bach) they will be asked to leave immediately. A charge will be made to cover the whole of the remainder of the value of the booking.

Loss or Damage

You will be handed keys when you arrive. If by mistake you fail to hand them in on departure, please let us know as soon as possible. We will allow 7 days for their return by post. If we haven’t received them during this period, we will e-mail you and a charge of £10 will be made to cover the cost of replacement.

The Guest’s vehicles, baggage and personal belongings are the Guest’s responsibility at all times and liability for loss or damage caused to any of the foregoing shall be excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Bed & Breakfast Bookings

The cost of the first night’s accommodation will be taken from the card as a non-refundable deposit. The balance of the charges will be payable upon departure.

Should you fail to arrive without informing us a charge will be made against your card for the full remaining amount of your booking.

If you do not wish to supply your card details then payment of the full amount is required in advance. This is only acceptable if payment is made in cash or if time permits for a cheque to be posted and cleared by our bank. In this instance please make cheques payable to Bryn-y-Ddafad.

If the person making the reservation is booking on behalf of the guest(s) then the person making the reservation may be held responsible for any non-arrival, damage or loss and monies may be taken from their debit/credit card.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your reservation. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing, by post or e-mail to enquires@bydd.co.uk.

In the event of cancellation less than 14 days prior to the arrival date we shall make every effort to re-let the room(s). However if we are unable to do so a charge equivalent to 50% of the balance of the value of the total booking will be made.

In the event of cancellation less than 3 days prior to the arrival date we shall make every effort to re-let the room(s). However if we are unable to do so a charge equivalent to 100% of the balance of the value of the total booking will be made.

We strongly recommend that guests take out adequate Travel Insurance to cover cancellation charges. Please remember your reservation is a binding contract under British Law.

Arrival and Departure Times

Guests should normally arrive between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please let us know if you are planning to arrive earlier, an early check in is usually possible provided we are forewarned. If you are planning to arrive after 8 p.m. please let us know when booking. Arrive later than 10 p.m. is not acceptable.

For the convenience of incoming guests, those departing are requested to vacate their room(s) by 10.30 a.m. on the day of departure.

Loss or Damage

Accidents happen, please let us know of any damage or spillage in order that we can attempt to repair or clean as soon as possible. A charge will be made against your debit/credit card for any major or irreparable damage.

Item(s) taken from the bedrooms or public areas (including books) without consent will be charged for.

Self-Catering Booking Terms & Conditions of Y Bwthyn Bach

General

Under no circumstances can the prescribed number of persons stated on the booking confirmation be exceeded.

The guests and occupants acquire no legal or beneficial rights whatsoever in or over the Property (or any part of it) excepting as a holiday let for the period booked. The guest shall not sub-let the property or assign or license its rights under this contract.

The Guest agrees that he shall be fully responsible for the acts and omissions of the other occupants and all objects that he brings to the Property during the hire period.

The cost of the first night’s accommodation will be taken from the card as a non-refundable deposit. The balance of the charges will be payable upon departure.

For the convenience of incoming guests, you are requested to vacate Y Bwthyn Bach by 11 a.m. on the day of departure.

Loss or Damage

Guests undertake to keep Y Bwthyn Bach (the holiday cottage) and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the letting period.

The Guest agrees to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the letting period. Particular attention must be given to the kitchen, its equipment and utensils. The Owners reserve the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the Guest leaves the Property in an unacceptable cond ition. The Owners will normally inspect the Property immediately prior to the Guest’s departure.

Accidents happen, please let us know of any damage, breakages or major spillage in order that we can attempt to repair or clean as soon as possible. A charge will be made against your debit/credit card for any major or irreparable damage (fair wear and tear excepted).

The Guest shall report to the Owners without delay any defects in the Property or breakdown in the equipment or appliances in the Property.

Item(s) taken from Y Bwthyn Bach (including books) without consent will be charged for.
